My Story
Welcome to my site! I recently completed a Master’s
degree in International Education Management at the Middlebury
Institute for International Studies in Monterey, California.
I have worked in international education since 2012 when I moved to Bangkok to
become a Program Coordinator for CIEE’s Teach in Thailand program. The field immediately felt like the perfect fit for me once I realized that I could be able to combine elements of my work history with my passions of traveling and authentic intercultural experiences into a meaningful career!
I lived in Thailand for 2 years where I worked with Overseas Education Group and The Knowledge Language school coordinating a teach-abroad program, teaching Business English classes and interviewing candidates for Thai study and work-abroad programs. Since moving back to the U.S.A. in 2014 I have absorbed all I could about the international education field and have work experience in TESOL, curriculum development, program marketing, international student admissions, recruitment and program management. In 2015 and 2016 I was a Program Leader for The Experiment in International Living's custom programs in Vietnam and Thailand. I recently interned for the American International Recruitment Council in Washington, D.C. to complete the final requirements for my International Education Management Master's degree from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies.
My most recent role was with IDP Education as the Client Relations Manager for the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Regions of the USA. My role was to advise partner institutions on their international student recruitment and marketing strategies. I was responsible for client acquisition and retention, and acted as a liaison between client schools and IDP's global network of student advising offices. Currently I am based in Philadelphia.
I sit on the boards of the Pennsylvania Council for International Education (PACIE) as well as PHILLYPIE, a networking group for Philadelphia-area international education professionals (an organization that I co-founded).
I am excited to combine my extensive professional knowledge of the international education field with the theoretical frameworks of my Master’s degree to empower students from across the world to become globally- conscious and inter-culturally competent leaders.
